SOUTH SUPPLIES & LOGISTICS OFFERS A WIDE VARIETY OF GASES USED IN THE INDUSTRIAL SECTOR
Industrial gasses for the exclusive use of the industrial sector Gasses are generally supplied as compressed gases, liquefied gases at room temperature (carbon dioxide or nitrogen oxide) or cryogenic liquids (oxygen, nitrogen or argon).
Gasses with applications in TIG welding, MIG welding, MAG welding and Root protections
The use of N2 in the mechanical industry has different applications in which two processes stand out:
Assembly of parts by cooling with liquid nitrogen.
Cooling of mechanical parts with liquid nitrogen.
South Supplies & Logistics supplies ultrapure gasses for the analytical instrumentation field such as Acetylene, Helium, Argon, Air, Hydrogen, Nitrogen, Carbon Dioxide, Oxygen.
The choice of packaging and distribution system depends on the product required and the daily consumption volume.
Pressurised gases are distributed both in cylinders and in cylinder blocks, as compressed or liquefied gases at ambient temperature. Cryogenic liquids are distributed in dewars or cryogenic tanks.
Acetylene is the trade name for ethyne, the simplest alkyne. It is a highly flammable gas, slightly lighter than air, colorless and with a characteristic garlic odor. Produces a flame of up to 3000ºC.
Aplicaciones: El acetileno es un gas de combustión estándar que se utiliza con el oxígeno para soldar metales y cortar acero. También se emplea en los procesos de aleación de oxiacetileno empleados en el calentamiento, formado y tratamiento de metales.

Argon is soluble in water and is colorless and odorless in both the gas and liquid states. In no state of matter is it toxic. It is considered a very inert gas and no true chemical compounds that can be formed with it are yet known.
Applications: Acetylene is a standard combustion gas used with oxygen for welding metals and cutting steel. It is also used in the oxyacetylene alloy processes used in the heating, forming and treatment of metals.

Carbon dioxide (CO2) is a slightly acidic, non-flammable, odourless and colourless liquefied gas. CO2 is heavier than air and is soluble in water. It is kept as a cryogenic liquid and we supply it in iso tanks.
Applications: The use of carbon dioxide is widespread in a wide variety of sectors, such as
Food, carbonated beverages, beverage gasification, packaging, refrigeration and freezing, deburring and grinding, neutralization, metal processing applications, catering Medicine: metabolic mixtures. Cellular plastics: supercritical fluid extraction

Helium is a colorless, odorless and tasteless gas. The density and viscosity of the helium vapor are very low. The thermal conductivity and caloric content are exceptionally high. Helium can be liquefied, but its condensation temperature is the lowest of any known substance.
Applications: Helium plays a key role in a large number of industries and applications, including MRI scanners, NMR, semiconductors, fiber optic cables, scientific research, airbag manufacturing, leak detection and treatment surface thermal, balloons.

Xenon is a colorless, odorless and unreactive gas. This gas is rare, unusual, and heavy. It is inert to most chemicals. Many xenon compounds have been made, especially with fluorine and oxygen. Xenon trioxide and xenon tetroxide are highly explosive.
Applications: The characteristics of xenon allow it to be used mainly as a light source. Xenon lamps are used in applications such as high-speed electronic flash for photography. While sunlamps and bactericides are used in food preparation and processing. Xenon lamps are also used in ruby lasers.
On the other hand, there are satellites that use xenon ion propulsion systems to stay in orbit. As well as some spaceships.
In medicine, it is used to make drugs used to treat some types of cancer.

Krypton is a noble gas that is especially characterized by its spectral lines of bright green and orange colors.
These spectral lines can be easily produced and make really beautiful hues.
It is a gas with rather strange characteristics, being one of the rarest elements on the periodic table.
The Earth’s atmosphere has 0.0001% of this rare gas and according to scientists, the atmosphere of Mars would have three times this amount.
Applications: Being a particularly rare element, krypton is not used for many purposes in human activities.
However, it is used in combinations with argon and fluorescent lamps, flash lamps, and photography tools.

Nitrogen is a colorless and odorless gas, forming part of the atmospheric air at 78.09 % Vol. Nitrogen is also found in proteins, in organic and inorganic compounds and in natural hydrocarbon deposits.
Applications: Nitrogen is non-reactive and excellent for coatings and is often used as a purge gas. Two thirds of the nitrogen produced by the industry is sold as a gas and the remaining third as a liquid.
Nitrogen gas is primarily used to create an inert atmosphere when oxygen in the air can lead to a fire, explosion or cause oxidation. Some examples include:
Food industry, light bulb industry, fire extinguishing systems, stainless steel manufacturing, tire filling, aircraft fuel systems, chemical analysis and chemical industry, pressurized beer kegs

Oxygen is a highly reactive chemical, capable of forming compounds with almost all known elements except noble gases.
Applications: Oxygen has enormous applications in human industries, such as:
Medical uses. Oxygen is used as a breathing gas in the life support of surgical patients and as therapy (oxygen therapy) for patients with heart and lung conditions, etc.
Life support. In space missions, submarines and similar, low pressure gaseous oxygen is used as a breathing gas, to sustain the habitability levels of suits, ships and cabins.
Industrial uses. for the production of iron alloys such as steel. In the chemical industry, for the manufacture of numerous textile materials and plastics. Finally, oxygen is also used to burn acetylene and to make torches capable of cutting metal very quickly.
Fuels and purifiers. Oxygen is also used to oxidize rocket fuel, for waste water treatment or, as ozone (O3) for water purifiers.
